Flaxseed oil provides the body with Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids which will help nourish the skin from within. We recommend Barlean’s or Omega Flo brands. You may also buy whole flaxseeds and grind them up and sprinkle them on cereal or salads. Do not use capsules for two reasons: they may have sat on a shelf, unrefrigerated, and you will have to take a lot of them to equal the same amount of flaxseed oil from a can, thereby pushing the cost way up. Begin by taking one tablespoon daily for two weeks and see if there is any change. If no change has taken place, increase dosage by one tablespoon for the next two to three weeks, and keep increasing the dose one tablespoon at a time until the desired result occurs. Using flaxseed oil in conjunction with EPO, the body is far more likely to convert GLA to beneficial prostaglandins, thereby reducing inflammation. The Omega-3 fatty acids also inhibit the body’s production of inflammation-causing arachidonic acid found in saturated fat. The Essential Woman brand from Barlean’s combines both evening primrose and flaxseed oils. You can also take flaxseed oil in conjunction with black current seed oil or sesame oil.

PS how can you know the information on this web site is trustworthy and balanced? There is so much fear and misinformation out there on line. I can’t ask you to take me on trust, check everything from reputable sources-I try to. is probably the most highly respected global source, is very good too, a more general UK based health site but covering skin cancer decently. I have put some links to other sources, a good rule is to check from multiple sources and triangulate. Bottom line, if you are worried about a new, odd or changing skin lesion, seek professional advice.

Wow. My daughter 2yro teacher just told me about this concoction today! She said she would make me a bottle of it. Meaning get recipe is lavender, tea tree oil and coconut oil and spray on body, rub down and cover with clothes. In the 2 years my daughter has been here I’ve tried everything on her body except from the inside out. I believe that it is now time to switch her from dairy to possible soy and definitely gluten free foods to help her. Now she only scratches when she’s angry, upset, crying, sleepy and sometimes excited. She’s smart enough to know something is going on with her skin but I really want her dark patches to go away. During the winter her skin patches change to dark and in the spring/summer her patches are invisible besides rosy. I’m hoping charging her diet helps and this cream as well. Thanks for sharing. I’m grateful! #JourneyThroughEczema

Used a trial sized version, applying to specific locations for a period of two weeks and saw marked improvement to those locations even in the midst of flare ups to adjacent areas. There was minimal stinging in one of the 4 locations upon the first few applications. Now using the full-sized version to apply to additional areas. I have used a topical steroid only a handful of times and my atopic dermatitis is classified as moderate. I’ve had eczema my whole life but it only resurfaced to become troublesome in the last year. My allergist (working with my dermatoligist) said he has some patients the medication clears up completely and others it does nothing for, thus the initial spot trial. There could be additional factors involved, but for me at least, there has been a positive response to the Eucrisa and no negative (other than the co-pay insurance cost).
